Lesson on Spiritual Resurrection

Lesson on Spiritual Resurrection: a joint Easter initiative of Ukrainian schools around the world
In the run-up to Easter, Ukrainian schools from Ukraine, Italy and other countries are coming together to hold a special Lesson on Spiritual Resurrection. The event aims to strengthen the spiritual bond between the children of the Ukrainian community worldwide and to remind them of the power of faith, tradition and hope.
Ukrainian schools will prepare the content of the lesson, while Ukrainian communities and parish groups in Italy and abroad will join online.
We very much hope that priests will open the lesson, as their words help children feel spiritual support and the depth of Easter’s meaning.
This lesson will play an important part in shaping future international educational projects under Erasmus+, as it creates a space for cooperation, mutual understanding and cultural dialogue between schools in different countries.
Join us
The project is open to Saturday and Sunday schools from Italy and other countries.
To take part, you need to
Once you have registered, the partnership coordinator will contact you and suggest a list of schools with which you can set up a joint international educational project.
Flash Mob “Pysanka Unites Our Kin”

Ahead of the great feast of Easter, we are launching the family flash mob “Pysanka Unites Our Kin”
Its aim is to bring Ukrainian families together through the ancient tradition of the pysanka (decorated Easter egg), through the warmth of the family circle, love, prayer and faith.
Everyone is invited to take part in this special event.
How will the flash mob work?
Each family, in its own home circle — parents and children, grandparents, relatives, friends — decorates pysanky together.
Let it be a warm moment of togetherness, unity and creativity.
May the symbols you choose for your pysanka reflect your spiritual world, your thoughts,
your heart — what you want to say to the world.
They can also be protective pysanky, talismans for our soldiers, since today many families have children and relatives defending Ukrainian land.
Some have a son or daughter, a brother or father at war. A mother’s heart always prays for her child, asking for their protection and their return home.
May the pysanka become a symbol of this prayer, faith and hope.
We invite you to create YOUR OWN FAMILY PYSANKA — a pysanka born of love and harmony, when the family works together, hand in hand, united at heart.
While you work or afterwards, take a photo of your family with the pysanka and send it to the group or privately to Lina Tsepla.
May this flash mob become a symbol of the unity of our Ukrainian kin, of support for our defenders and of faith in a peaceful future.

PYSANKA Lesson: Ukraine – Italy

As part of the long-term international educational initiative “100×100: Bridges of Education”, a joint Ukrainian-Italian PYSANKA lesson will be held, devoted to the pysanka tradition and to cultural dialogue between schools in the two countries.
It is a unique opportunity for pupils in Ukraine and Italy to discover together the depth of Ukraine’s cultural heritage and to learn about the symbolism of the pysanka and its meaning as a talisman, an artistic code and a bearer of historical memory.
Why the lesson matters
– The pysanka is not just a decorative object but an ancient symbol of life, light and rebirth.
– By creating together, children learn to understand each other’s culture and to build trust and mutual respect.
– The project fosters intercultural dialogue, strengthens partnerships between Ukrainian and Italian schools and upholds the values of openness and cooperation.
The lesson will be one more step towards building real educational bridges that connect countries, traditions and generations.

Participants will present their creative work and share their experiences, impressions and the results of their joint work on the pysanka as a symbol of peace, rebirth and unity.
It will be a meeting that highlights the strength of cultural heritage and the importance of international cooperation between schools and communities.

Seeking partners for Erasmus+
A letter of invitation to Ukrainian Saturday and Sunday schools abroad
As part of the long-term international educational initiative “100×100: Bridges of Education”, launched by the National Congress of Ukrainian Associations in Italy (CNAUI), we are starting to build partnerships between Ukrainian schools in Ukraine, Italy and other countries around the world, with a view to submitting joint Erasmus+ applications.
Ukrainian Saturday and Sunday schools abroad are extremely valuable partners for Ukrainian schools. They are the ones who can become the key link in building lasting international educational triangles:
– a school in Ukraine
– a Ukrainian school in Italy
– a Ukrainian school in another country
Partnerships like these open the way to Erasmus+, joint projects, exchanges, and cultural and educational programmes.
Get involved through the “Pysanka of Unity” project
As a first step towards getting to know one another and making contacts, we invite schools to take part in the international project “Pysanka of Unity”, which has two stages:
1. Lesson on Spiritual Resurrection
2. Final online meeting
The project is part of the “100×100: Bridges of Education” initiative, whose platform already has 398 Ukrainian schools registered.
The main aim of “Pysanka of Unity”
To involve Ukrainian Saturday and Sunday schools abroad in international cooperation and to prepare them to take part in Erasmus+ together with schools in Ukraine.
The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine has praised the initiative highly and supports its development.
On 3 March 2026 a petition based on recommendations from CNAUI’s Department of Education was read out in the Senate of the Italian Republic. It calls for a national programme of partnerships between schools in Ukraine and Italy.
This is an important step, confirming the strategic role of Ukrainian educational centres abroad.
To join the initiative, please fill in the short participation form.
Please note: schools in Ukraine do not apply, as they are already taking part in the “100×100: Bridges of Education” project.
For further information or advice, please contact the project coordinators.
The international “Pysanka of Unity” project is under way!
The National Congress of Ukrainian Associations in Italy announces the launch of a new cultural and educational project, “Pysanka of Unity”, part of the major international initiative “100×100: Bridges of Education”.
The project unites Ukrainian children around the world through the pysanka tradition — a symbol of light, spiritual rebirth and our identity.
International three-way partnerships: “Pysanka of Unity” creates a unique model of cooperation between:
- a Ukrainian school in Ukraine,
- a Ukrainian Saturday/Sunday school in Italy,
- a Ukrainian school or educational centre in another country
This format meets the requirements of the Creative Europe and Erasmus+ programmes.
Easter Lesson on Spiritual Resurrection
Each partner group will hold its own lesson — a space for creativity, spirituality, tradition and support for children.
Clergy from Ukrainian church communities take part in the lessons.
Final international meeting
Between 1 and 10 April a large online meeting of all participating schools will take place.
Teachers, children, clergy, civic leaders and institutional partners are all invited to take part.
Become a partner!
Organisations and institutions can:
- join as official partners,
- become members of the Organising Committee,
- provide their logo for project materials,
- take part in the final meeting
Together we are creating a space of unity, culture and spiritual strength for Ukrainian children around the world.
