At Easter our hearts fly home.
In days gone by, families would gather at this time of year to paint pysanky: the story of a life, a hope for the future.
Today our flash mob “Pysanka Unites Our Kin” proves that for the Ukrainian soul there are no borders. The pysanka (the Ukrainian decorated Easter egg) has become the sacred thread that has stitched our hearts together into one, even though we are scattered across the world, from Italy and Spain to faraway England.
We may live in different countries, but our roots are in the same soil. Because Ukraine is the Mother of our kin, our shared home and our strength!
