A real path to employment in Italian schools
Feder. A.T.A. and the National Congress of Ukrainian Associations in Italy (CNAUI) are convinced that working in an Italian school is a real opportunity for Ukrainians in Italy.
Starting on 10 October 2026, the specialised course “Personale A.T.A.” (A.T.A. staff) is organised by the National Congress of Ukrainian Associations in Italy APS in collaboration with Feder. A.T.A., a trade union that has represented the interests of the administrative, technical and auxiliary staff of Italian schools since 2015.
The aim of the course is to prepare Ukrainians living in Italy to take part, in an informed and well-prepared way, in the competition (bando) for A.T.A. staff positions in state schools.
📚 What the course includes:
- Information and orientation module: requirements, deadlines and how to take part in the competition.
- Theoretical preparation: school legislation, administrative procedures and basic IT skills.
- Sector-specific Italian course: administrative and technical vocabulary.
- Practice and preparation: mock tests and orientation interviews.
- Support: help with filling in the application and submitting the documents.
🎓 Certificate: participants who successfully complete the course will receive a certificate of attendance (attestato di frequenza).
🎓 Two career paths and the recognition of teaching diplomas
The course explains two different but equally real paths to working in an Italian school:
A.T.A. staff positions
This is NOT a teaching position. You do not need a teaching diploma to work as A.T.A. staff — each position has its own educational requirements (see the table below).
Teaching
Some hours of the course are devoted to the procedure for recognising a Ukrainian teaching diploma, for those interested specifically in a teaching career.

In 2025 the Congress already organised a first course of this kind, for which more than 270 Ukrainians registered — confirming the strong demand for the initiative within the Ukrainian community in Italy.
