ROME, 30 SEPTEMBER 2026 — The Italian Chamber of Deputies (Sala del Refettorio, Palazzo San Macuto) hosted a major conference on the theme “Legality Rating. A Common Language between Public Administration, Banks and Businesses”. Held at the initiative of MP Letizia Giorgianni, the event was organised by the National Association of Financial Professionals (Associazione Nazionale Finanzialisti) together with the ItaliaOggi Association (Associazione ItaliaOggi). The conference brought together key figures from the Italian Parliament, the judiciary and the financial sector, as well as leading experts.
The main speakers at the conference included:
- Marco Osnato — Chair of the Finance Committee of the Chamber of Deputies;
- Letizia Giorgianni — Member of Parliament (who initiated the event) and her colleague Guerino Testa;
- Michele Vietti — former Vice-President of the High Council of the Judiciary and former Deputy Minister of Economy;
- Francesco Caringella — Councillor of State;
- Guido Rispoli — Prosecutor General of Brescia;
- Mauro Masi — President of Banca del Fucino;
- Alessandro Parrotta, Lorenzo Allegrucci (Vice-President of Associazione ItaliaOggi), Giancarlo Coppola (President of Associazione Nazionale Finanzialisti) and other leading experts on Model 231, anti-money laundering and corporate governance.
The central topic of the discussion was the use of the “Legality Rating” (Rating di Legalità) as an official tool for reducing risk (derisking), improving access to credit and strengthening companies’ reputational capital.
For the Congress, the event was a natural continuation of its efforts to build institutional cooperation following the recent signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation with the Academy of Financial Monitoring. Direct engagement with the Italian organisers, legislators and financial experts opens up new opportunities to protect and develop Ukrainian civic and business initiatives in Italy.
The President of the Congress, Lara Levchun, emphasised:
“Taking part in this conference within the walls of the Italian Chamber of Deputies is extremely important for the Congress. Legality, financial transparency and an impeccable reputation are the fundamental values on which genuine trust and effective cooperation are built. By combining the signing of the Memorandum of Cooperation with the Academy of Financial Monitoring with direct dialogue with leading Italian institutions, we are building a strong and unshakeable bridge of trust and cooperation between Ukraine and Italy.”
