“The Song of Garda’s Waters”: Anna Teslia’s solo exhibition, held from 31.08.26 to 06.09.26, was a success in Rovereto.
The elegant historic setting of Casa Natale Antonio Rosmini in the Italian town of Rovereto hosted a landmark event for Ukrainian art in Italy: Anna Teslia’s solo exhibition of oil paintings, “Il canto dell’acqua del Garda”. The artist represents CNAUI’s Department of Culture, is an active member of the international art association “UN PONTE DI COLORI” (“A Bridge of Colours”) and coordinates the “European Dialogue” platform.
Spirit, the sacred and earthly beauty in harmony
The exhibition took Italian and international visitors on an emotional journey in which picturesque landscapes, spiritual depth and Ukrainian cultural identity merge into a harmonious whole. For visitors, Anna Teslia’s works became a space of inner peace, renewal and faith in a bright future.
Key themes and symbolic canvases of the exhibition
- The poetry of water and the light of Garda: landscapes that skilfully capture the crystal clarity of the water, the play of light and the majesty of the mountains around Riva del Garda.
- Rich still lifes: a series of works featuring sun-ripened grapes, full of warm, saturated colours, celebrating the bounty of the earth and the joy of life.
- Sacred motifs: deeply spiritual subjects that give visitors a sense of inner strength and quiet meditation.
Symbols of Ukraine and spiritual revival
- A Ukrainian woman in a wheat field with sunflowers, watching the sunrise — an image of hope for a bright dawn;
- The emblematic painting “I semi del domani” (“The Seeds of Tomorrow”), in which the map of Ukraine comes alive through images of children, the foremost symbols of the future;
- The artist’s own interpretation of Ukrainian folk heritage in a rendering of Maria Prymachenko’s “Starry Bull”.
Anna Teslia’s exhibition in Rovereto marks another bright step by CNAUI’s Department of Culture and the “Bridge of Colours” project in strengthening cultural diplomacy, revealing the depth and beauty of the Ukrainian soul to European audiences.
