Alina Pobirska, a 25-year-old artist from Vinnytsia, now lives in Bergamo.
Creativity has run through her life since childhood. For five years Alina coordinated the work of a Ukrainian studio specialising in photorealist paintings and portraits.
For a long time she made art only for herself, but a few years ago she realised that it was not just a hobby — it was a calling.
Today Alina works in black-and-white photorealism and hyperrealism, using dry brush, charcoal and pastel. She is drawn to the unrestrained emotional force of the monochrome palette: it is there that she finds more colour and more life than in traditional colour portraits.
Character, feeling, the moment — everything comes alive on her canvases.
For Alina this is not just a profession or a pastime. It is a way of life. That is why she is here.
