Online meeting with Oleksii Honcharenko, Member of the Verkhovna Rada and Chair of the Committee on Migration, Refugees and Displaced Persons of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe

Representatives of Ukrainian associations in Italy (COORDINAMENTO UNITARIO) held an online meeting with the newly elected Chair of the Committee on Migration, Refugees and Displaced Persons of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, Oleksii Honcharenko, the most active member of Ukraine’s parliament.

Oleksii Honcharenko, a prominent politician and activist, has been elected Chair of the Committee on Migration, Refugees and Displaced Persons of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. His election is a recognition of his extensive experience and his significant contribution to developing modern approaches to migration policy and support for refugees.

Oleksii Honcharenko is also known for his energetic work in the Ukrainian parliament, where he is one of the most active MPs. He consistently defends the interests of the state and puts forward legislative initiatives to improve the lives of Ukraine’s citizens.

It was an introductory meeting, in which we discussed how we can help from abroad and asked about the powers and tools an MP has to assist us.

We are confident that under his leadership the Committee on Migration, Refugees and Displaced Persons will continue to tackle the pressing issues in this field successfully.
