The “A Bridge of Colours” project was created to show how art can transform, unite and inspire.
One of the brightest examples of this initiative is the story of Svitlana Ivlieva, an artist who found her creative path in clothing customisation, pushing the boundaries of artistic expression.
Svitlana says: “I have always loved drawing. It probably runs in the family, because my mother, my grandmother and my brother all drew.”
Since childhood she has had a passion for drawing, handed down to her by her family. Living in a small town with no art school, Svitlana saw drawing as nothing more than a hobby.
The turning point in her creative life came with an accidental stain on her favourite T-shirt, which seemed beyond saving. Yet it was precisely this mishap that led her to clothing customisation. Having learned the technique of hand painting, she gave the T-shirt a new life and discovered a whole new world of creativity.
After completing 9 professional courses and 15 masterclasses, Svitlana refined her skills, creating unique pieces that bring art and fashion together.
Sadly, because of the full-scale invasion and her forced evacuation, Svitlana stopped painting for three years. Now, living in Italy, she is once again finding strength and inspiration through creativity: she paints pictures for herself and her friends, paints on canvas and makes decorative clocks.
“A Bridge of Colours” seeks to support artists like Svitlana by giving them the opportunity to share their talent, build cultural ties and carry a message of hope to the world through creativity. The project shows that art can become a bridge between communities, hearts and dreams.
Art inspires, unites and heals!
We invite everyone who wishes to join the Union of Artists, so that together we can create, support one another and change the world through art!
