The “Borghi Italiani” exhibition: Ukrainian and Italian artists open a joint art project in Italy
On 19 June 2026, Caffè Nuovo (Corso Umberto I, 19, Ronciglione, province of Viterbo) hosted the official opening of the art exhibition “Borghi Italiani” (Italian Villages), which brings together Ukrainian and Italian artists united by a shared love of Italy’s beauty:
- Sofiia Mazurets
- Stefano Cianti
- Elena Hromova
- Anna Teslya
- Iryna Medvedovska
- Elliv
- Maryna Kurovska
- Xenia Avanti
In their works, the artists capture the atmosphere and unmistakable charm of Italy’s picturesque small towns and villages, portraying their history, architecture, traditions and distinctive character. Inspired by the beauty of the Italian borghi, the paintings take viewers on an artistic journey through the country’s most intimate and welcoming corners.
The exhibition was curated and conceived by Xenia Avanti, a talented photographer and artist whose creative vision and tireless work brought together artists of different nationalities around the project, creating a space for cultural dialogue and mutual inspiration.
Most of the exhibiting artists are members of the association Un Ponte di Colori, which actively promotes intercultural cooperation and brings art to a wider public.
