International Children’s Day: Ukrainian associations in Italy hold events for the little ones

Ukrainian associations belonging to the COORDINAMENTO UNITARIO Ukrainians in Italy celebrated International Children’s Day.
Volunteers organised fun games, competitions and entertainment, workshops and, of course, handed out presents.
The ArtUAge association, for example, held an event for children at the municipal library in Catania.
The celebration was attended not only by children from Ukraine but also by children from other countries, Syria and Egypt. An origami workshop was held for everyone, and children from a Catania children’s home brought greetings and small gifts for all who came. At the end, the children gave balloon flowers to Italian children in the streets of the city.

The Ukrainian children’s club “Barvinok” in Reggio Calabria also ran its own workshops, with presents for the children

And on the eve of the holiday a pleasant surprise awaited the children of the Ukrainian community in Mondragone: the young artists received an award at the All-Ukrainian International Drawing Competition held in Kyiv. The young talents were prepared for the competition by Antonina Dubchak, a professional artist and designer and a teacher of drawing and art history.
