The “Association of the Diplomatic and Consular Corps of Naples-Campania” organised a charity event, held on 3 July 2024 at the “Mostra d’Oltremare” grounds in Naples.
The event aimed to raise further public awareness of the situation in Ukraine.
Particular emphasis was placed on the need to provide Ukrainian students with tablets, as many of them are forced to study remotely amid air-raid alerts and missile and drone attacks on Ukrainian cities, villages and schools.

Representatives of the Coordination Centre also took part in the event.

We would like to express our deep gratitude to the organisers and all participants for their support and solidarity with the Ukrainian people at this difficult time. The importance of events like this cannot be overstated: they not only help provide students with the tools they need to study, but also demonstrate the unity and support of the international community.

We were pleased that the meeting was attended by Mr Vadym Sydiachenko, a Ukrainian economic diplomat with experience in Azerbaijan and Japan, who is the administrative tutor for economic development at the Coordination Centre of Ukrainian Associations in Italy.
Mr Vadym Sydiachenko briefed the Ambassador of Ukraine to Italy, Yaroslav Melnyk, on the Coordination Centre’s steps to carry out the tasks set out at the forum “The Role of Diaspora Institutions in Attracting Investment for the Reconstruction of Ukraine”, organised and held in Kyiv by the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The first signatory of the Cooperation Agreement will be the association Assimprenditori, which brings together more than 5,000 Italian entrepreneurs. It was heartening to hear the association’s President, Giuseppe Samà, say “Slava Ucraina” – those words are the very purpose of our cooperation.

The meeting also included constructive talks on cooperation with Italian partners, attended by the President of the Coordination Centre of Ukrainian Associations in Italy, Ms Lara Levchun, the President of the association “Uniti per l’Ucraina” in Bari, Ms Oksana Rohova, Mr Vadym Sydiachenko, and members of the Ukrainian communities of Naples, Bari, Sorrento and other cities.

The Coordination Centre calls on everyone who cares to keep supporting initiatives that help Ukraine, because together we can do more to overcome the hardships and restore peace and stability in our country.
