INSIEME — a training course for intercultural mediators and partnership coordinators

The first meeting of the INSIEME course has taken place.

Today, 29 December 2025, saw the first organisational meeting of INSIEME, a new training course designed to prepare intercultural mediators and partnership coordinators for international projects between Ukraine and Italy.

At the meeting, participants were introduced to the programme’s structure, its mission and the opportunities that taking part in the course opens up.

INSIEME combines training in immigration, social security, Italian administrative procedures and the legal foundations of Ukraine with practical preparation for work on international educational, cultural and municipal projects.

Particular attention was paid to the role of partnership coordinators in developing the “100×100: Bridges of Education” and “Brotherhood Across Borders” projects. These professionals are the key link in building and sustaining cooperation between Ukrainian and Italian communities.

Participants were invited to join the lectures on CAF, Patronato and administrative procedures and, if they wish, to take the full INSIEME course, which starts in January 2026.

The first meeting was an important step towards forming a new team of coordinators who will work to strengthen the ties between Ukraine and Italy and to support the Ukrainian community.

About the course

The aim of the INSIEME course is to train partnership coordinators who will work in international cooperation between Ukraine and Italy. The programme sets out to develop professionals able to manage relations between institutions competently, support communities and deliver joint projects in the social, educational, cultural and administrative fields.

The course is designed to:

  • – build the skills needed to organise, develop and support partnerships between communities, schools, cultural institutions and public administrations in Ukraine and Italy
    – train advisers with a working knowledge of the immigration, social and administrative law of both countries
    – teach participants to handle documents, communicate with public offices, coordinate international initiatives and represent the community at official events
    – provide hands-on experience of international projects, including twinning agreements, educational programmes and cultural exchanges
    – create a network of leaders able to strengthen the Ukrainian community in Italy and build lasting ties between the two countries

— professionals able to:

  • – build partnerships between Ukraine and Italy
    – work with public administrations
    – engage with educational and cultural institutions
    – support twinning agreements
    – organise international educational and cultural initiatives
    – represent the community at official events

Opportunities for participants

Course participants will be able to join the work of major international projects:

They can also join the work of one of the CNAUI departments once a month:

This is a chance to gain real experience, work with documents, take part in international meetings and help shape the community’s policies.

Each course participant may choose their own “Zemliatstvo” — a region of Ukraine they will work with in Ukraine–Italy international cooperation projects. This makes it possible to get to know a particular region in depth, establish direct contacts with its communities, schools and cultural institutions, and contribute to developing partnerships within the “Brotherhood Across Borders” and “100×100: Bridges of Education” projects.

Taking part in the programme requires signing the Code of Integrity, because during the training and work placement participants have access to personal data, internal information and details of how public administrations operate. We work strictly within ethical standards, transparency and accountability.

The programme does not work with anyone who supports the aggressor state, Russia. We are building an environment of trust, safety and shared values, in which every participant shares the principles of respect for Ukraine and its sovereignty.

The official language of the course is Ukrainian — a conscious choice and an expression of our identity and cultural belonging. Italian is used alongside it: the language of the country where we live, work and build partnerships.
We invite you to visit our website and our social media on Facebook , Youtu.be, to learn more about the work of the National Congress, our projects, partnerships and team. This will help you better understand the association’s values, its areas of work and the opportunities that taking part in the programme opens up.

During the training, your participation in projects will be on a voluntary basis. This is an important part of the preparation: it lets you gain practical experience, develop your skills in communicating with administrations and take part in real international initiatives.

At the same time, volunteering does not rule out paid work within international projects. By agreement with CNAUI’s partners, participants who prove responsible and professional may be engaged in paid assignments in the framework of international cooperation, cultural programmes, educational exchanges and partnership agreements.
