Tears of pride and unrivalled emotions as the Ukrainian group “Light Balance Kids” performed at Sanremo 2024
On 10.02.2024 the final of the 74th Sanremo Music Festival, Sanremo 2024, took place in Italy. Among the special guests was the Ukrainian children’s acrobatic dance group “Light Balance Kids”.
After their successful run and victory on “America’s Got Talent 12” in 2017, “Light Balance Kids” made it to Sanremo. Their performance amazed and captivated everyone in the hall, as well as the viewers at home.
In the heavy neon costumes they wear on stage, dancing in complete darkness, “Light Balance Kids” conveyed an important symbol: that darkness has become part of everyday reality for Ukrainian children who have lived through the horrors of the Russian-Ukrainian war first-hand.
“Light Balance Kids” are full of pride in Ukraine and believe they have a mission: to tell the world about our homeland and to remind it how much light matters in dark times.
The children say: “We want people not to forget the war in Ukraine, and to help overcome the darkness!”
