Partnership Dialogue in Erasmus+: The Outcome

Congress#International cooperation

On 16 April 2026, representatives of the National Congress of Ukrainian Associations in Italy (CNAUI) and Dnipro University of Technology held an online meeting devoted to establishing a partnership and developing international cooperation.

The meeting was an important step in joining forces to support the Ukrainian community abroad and to strengthen educational and academic ties between Ukraine and Italy.

The discussion covered the prospects for cooperation under the Erasmus+ programme, including joint educational and research projects, the development of academic mobility, and the exchange of experience between teaching staff and students. The two sides paid particular attention to identifying priority areas of cooperation: education, social integration and support for Ukrainians abroad.

Another important strand of the dialogue was supporting the Ukrainian diaspora in Italy and putting its activities on a more systematic footing, so as to strengthen its role as an effective platform for communication, mutual support and the preservation of national identity.

The participants stressed how important it is to build international partnerships in wartime, when supporting Ukraine and uniting Ukrainians abroad have taken on strategic significance.

The key outcome was a discussion of the prospect of signing a memorandum of understanding, intended to lay the groundwork for a long-term partnership, joint initiatives and structured cooperation between the two sides.
