Knowledge is our weapon! The training webinar “Translating and Editing Texts on Wikipedia” has taken place! On 11 June at 20:30 Kyiv time we held an important online training webinar on methods for translating and editing texts on Wikipedia. The event was organised to improve the quality and reliability of Ukraine-related content on the Italian Wikipedia. The webinar was led by two experts in the field: Andrii Verbitskyi, an administrator of the Ukrainian Wikipedia, and Anton Protsiuk, an administrator of the Ukrainian Wikipedia and programme coordinator at the NGO Wikimedia Ukraine.
The speakers gave participants thorough knowledge and practical advice on working effectively with the Wikipedia platform. Particular emphasis was placed on ensuring objective coverage of Ukrainian topics, which is critically important today. The event did much to broaden the participants’ expertise in media literacy.
We thank everyone who joined the webinar for their active participation and deep interest in developing the information space.
The knowledge and skills gained are key to ensuring an accurate and unbiased portrayal of Ukraine on international information platforms.
