Signing of the Memorandum of Cooperation with the Vinnytsia region

22 May 2025

The National Congress of Ukrainian Associations in Italy continues its active cooperation with Ukraine’s regions to strengthen international ties. An important milestone in this process was the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation between the Vinnytsia Regional Military Administration, the Vinnytsia Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the charitable organisation “Berehynia Krainy” and the National Congress of Ukrainian Associations in Italy.

The document was signed by:

  • Andrii Kavunets, Deputy Head of the Regional Military Administration for Digital Development, Digital Transformation and Digitalisation (CDTO)
  • Stepan Lypkan, Vice-President of the Vinnytsia Chamber of Commerce and Industry
  • Olena Med, co-founder of the “Berehynia Krainy” foundation

The Deputy Head of the Regional Military Administration stressed that the Memorandum is a key strategic step towards building cooperation between Ukrainian and Italian regions. Consultations have already begun on the final version of a cooperation agreement with Apulia, one of Italy’s most developed regions.

Also taking part in the meeting were:

  • Larysa Levchun, President of the National Congress of Ukrainian Associations in Italy
  • Oksana Rohova, Vice-President of the National Congress
  • Vadym Sydiachenko, official representative of the National Congress of Ukrainian Associations in Italy

During the discussion, representatives of the National Congress of Ukrainian Associations in Italy described their work to develop Ukrainian-Italian relations, build contacts between municipalities and carry out joint humanitarian, social and economic projects.

Particular attention was paid to working with Italian volunteer organisations that support Ukraine at this difficult time.

The parties also discussed ways of drawing on Italian experience to introduce European practices in the communities of the Vinnytsia region.

This is another significant step that opens up new prospects for international cooperation, strengthens our resilience and supports the development of Ukraine’s regions.
