On 17 April 2025 the Regional Council of Campania hosted an important meeting between Andrii Chovhan, representative of the Ternopil region, President Larysa Levchun and Vice-President Oksana Rohova of the National Congress of Ukrainian Associations in Italy, and Fulvio Frezza, Secretary Councillor and member of the Bureau of the Regional Council of Campania. The event marked a further step towards stronger relations between the two regions.

The meeting is part of a process launched on 7 March 2025 at the international conference “A Bridge for Ukraine’s Revival”, held in Rome at the Chamber of Deputies.
The event was organised in cooperation with the National Congress of Ukrainian Associations in Italy, which represents Ukrainian regions in Italy on the basis of the cooperation memoranda already signed.
The initiative aims to build bridges of cooperation between the two countries through the contribution of Ukrainian associations in Italy – a successful strategy that brings together people, values and opportunities.
The meeting underlined the importance of strengthening cultural, social and economic ties, laying the foundations for future joint projects.
The initiative immediately attracted the interest of Secretary Councillor Fulvio Frezza, who readily declared his support and his willingness to act as an intermediary with the relevant institutions to secure a memorandum of understanding between the Ternopil region and Campania. The document will help bring about a number of initiatives benefiting local and international communities.
During the meeting, projects and proposals were outlined for possible new cooperation focused on supporting communities and developing a lasting partnership.
The meeting showed that international cooperation rooted in the initiative of associations and communities is a driver of change, capable of bringing lasting benefits to both regions.
“A Bridge for Ukraine’s Revival” remains a symbol of solidarity and unity between Italy and Ukraine.
