Ukrainian Art Weeks in Rome: weeks of Ukrainian art get under way in the heart of Europe
On the initiative of the association Un Ponte di Colori, with the support of the Department of Culture of the National Congress of Ukrainian Associations in Italy (CNAUI) and in cooperation with the European Parliament Office in Italy, a major cultural project is opening in the Italian capital: Ukrainian Art Weeks in Rome.
From 9 June to 4 August 2026, in the very heart of the Italian capital, at the Esperienza Europa – David Sassoli space (Piazza Venezia, 6C), anyone will be able to visit solo exhibitions by Ukrainian artists free of charge and discover contemporary Ukrainian art.
Ukrainian Art Weeks is more than an art project. It is cultural diplomacy, introducing Ukraine to Europe through the language of creativity, emotion and national identity. At a time of great challenges, Ukrainian culture continues to make itself heard – loudly, with dignity and conviction – showing the world the strength of our people, their talent and their spiritual resilience.

Each exhibition will tell its own story in the language of colour, light and artistic imagery. It is a unique opportunity for Romans, visitors to the city and the international community to see Ukraine through the work of its artists.
“Today Ukrainian art is an important part of cultural diplomacy and a powerful tool for strengthening international dialogue. It is through culture that peoples come to know one another, and art becomes a bridge of mutual understanding and solidarity.”
For her part, Olena Hromova, president of the association “Un Ponte di Colori”, says that the Ukrainian Art Weeks initiative will continue from as early as September 2026, because the organisers are convinced that the world must see Ukrainian art.
Ukrainian culture must be present on the international stage, and the voice of Ukrainian artists must be heard far beyond Ukraine’s borders.
