The Association of Ukrainian Lawyers, a Partner of CNAUI
A meeting took place between Mario Fontana, president of the association “Sostieni Ucraina”, and Professor Vasyl Kostytskyi, head of the Association of Ukrainian Lawyers
As part of the development of international cooperation between Ukraine and Italy, an official meeting took place between the president of the association “Sostieni Ucraina”,
a member of the National Congress of Ukrainian Associations in Italy (CNAUI),
Mr Mario Fontana,
and Professor Vasyl Kostytskyi,
Doctor of Legal Sciences and professor at the Department of Philosophy of Law of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv,
Head of the Association of Ukrainian Lawyers,
Head of the Association of People’s Deputies of Ukraine,
People’s Deputy of Ukraine of the 3rd convocation and co-author of the Constitution of Ukraine.
During the meeting, Professor Vasyl Kostytskyi presented Mario Fontana with a high distinction honouring his work as president of the association “Sostieni Ucraina” and chair of the Peace Advisory Council of the Municipality of Trapani (Italy).
This award is not only a mark of trust but also a symbol of shared values — peace, justice and mutual respect between the Ukrainian and Italian peoples.
The parties also signed a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation between
the Association of Ukrainian Lawyers and
the National Congress of Ukrainian Associations in Italy,
where Mr Mario Fontana coordinates the Department of Lawyers.
The Association of Ukrainian Lawyers, headed by Professor Vasyl Kostytskyi,
is a leading civic organisation that brings together legal scholars, advocates, judges and human rights defenders,
working to strengthen the rule of law, develop legal education and protect human rights in Ukraine.
The signed Memorandum aims to build an international bridge of cooperation
linking Ukrainian and Italian lawyers to advance legal initiatives, support Ukrainian citizens abroad and develop humanitarian partnership.
