Union of Artists at CNAUI
We invite all Ukrainian artists to join a unique art project, “Bridge of Colours”, to showcase our community’s talent together and promote Ukrainian culture in Italy!
Project name: Bridge of Colours – the Art of Ukrainians in Italy
Start date: April 2025
Location: Italy
The National Congress of Ukrainian Associations in Italy (CNAUI) is pleased to announce the launch of a unique art project, “Bridge of Colours”, which began in April 2025 in various Italian cities. The aim is to give all Ukrainians, wherever they live, the chance to take part, renew their cultural ties and feel the support of their community.
About the project
“Bridge of Colours” is a celebration of the creativity, resilience and rich culture of Ukrainian artists living and working in Italy. The project will present a unique collection of works exploring themes such as identity, migration, hope and intercultural dialogue.
Project aims
- Promoting Ukrainian culture in Italy through art.
- Fostering dialogue between the Ukrainian and Italian communities
- Giving immigrant artists a platform to express their creativity and share it with Italian audiences
Participating cities
The exhibitions will be held both in prestigious galleries in major cities (such as Rome, Milan, Bari, Florence and Bologna) and in smaller towns, to reach as many participants and visitors as possible.
Statement by the Head of the Department of Culture, Ms Tania Snurnytska
“The ‘Bridge of Colours’ project is not just an art exhibition but a true gesture of cultural unity that helps Ukrainian artists find their voice and be heard. It also shows how art can build bridges between nations, fostering mutual understanding and harmony.”
Statement by the President of CNAUI, Lara Levchun:
“‘Bridge of Colours’ is a platform for celebrating the meeting of two cultures. This project invites us to look beyond borders and feel the beauty of a collaboration that unites and enriches both countries.”
Acknowledgements
We are sincerely grateful to Italy’s local authorities, cultural institutions and partners for supporting this project, which fosters dialogue and integration through art.
